Shiur in Ramat Hasharon Celebrates Its First Year

Every week over the past year, residents of the non-religious neighborhood of Ramat Hasharon have been attending a shiur on Parshas Hashavua given by local shliach Rabbi Ziv Katzavi.

To celebrate the anniversary of the shiur and the opening of a Midrasha by the local Chabad House, the shiur has now been expanded.

Activities coordinator Rabbi Meir Abayov reports, “Following many requests from local residents wishing to join, but who were unable to do so due to a lack of space, we decided to hold the shiur elsewhere in a larger venue. This way, anyone who is interested may join the shiur easily.”

During the most recent shiur, the shluchim were surprised to see many local residents hurrying to the Midrasha. “We were delighted and surprised to see them,” said Rabbi Abayov.

Musical entertainment was provided in a Chassidic atmosphere during the anniversary shiur by Simcha Friedman, who played Chabad niggunim.
