Friends of Chabad in Cyprus Gather for Tu Bishvat

Friends of the Chabad Center in Cyprus gathered on Tu Bishvat for a special social gathering and tribute evening at the conference center in Kibbutz Chafetz Chaim, Israel.

Many guests from around the world expressed their gratitude to head shliach Rabbi Aryeh Ze’ev Raskin, who is also the island’s Chief Rabbi.

The emcee of the evening was Rabbi Shlomo Raskin of Frankfurt, who introduced the Chief Rabbi and Av Beis Din of Beersheva, Rabbi Yehuda Deri, who is also a supporter of Chabad in Cyprus. Afterwards, shliach Rabbi Victor Attiyah of Hebron told his fascinating life story and Rabbi Aryeh Ze’ev Raskin completed Maseches Berachos. He also took the opportunity to thank his father Rabbi Yehoshua Raskin for working hard to help Chabad in Cyprus, as well as all of his other friends and supporters.

The Greek Legend choir provided musical entertainment, and everyone received a beautiful booklet of Tu Bishvat tefillos as a souvenir.
