On Tu Bishvat, a new Chabad House opened for the Israeli community in Amsterdam.

Shluchim Rabbi Akiva and Teiby Camissar have been working in Amsterdam for a year, and now they have their own premises for a Chabad House.

The new Chabad House will be located in the Jewish Community Centre in Amsterdam in an area where many Israelis live.

On Tu Bishvat, everyone was invited to say Lechaim and celebrate the New Year for Trees in the new Chabad House. A large and varied crowd that included Israelis, local Jews, and other Dutch shluchim spent the afternoon and evening together in celebration.

Many warm responses were received, making the need for the new Chabad House even more apparent. The Camissars are working under the auspices of Chabad of Holland, headed by Rabbi Yitzchok Forst and Rabbi Binyomin Jacobs, with the help and support of Rabbi Moshe Kotlarsky.
