This year, 300 students of Talmud Torah Tiferes Menachem in Beitar Illit held their Yud Shevat farbrengen in the 770 building in the Jerusalem neighborhood of Ramat Shlomo.

The farbrengen was the culmination of two weeks of learning Basi Legani, during which the children learned thousands of lines by heart between them. The farbrengen began with the Twelve Pesukim and it was opened by the dedicated coordinator of activities at the Talmud Torah, Rabbi Dovid Dahan.

After singing a selection of niggunim, accompanied by Moshe Notik, Tomim Yosef Yitzchok Mishulovin from kitah aleph recited two sections of Basi Legani by heart and received a warm hug from principal Rabbi Yosef Hirsch Sirotzky.

Afterwards, the children and their teachers read a section from the maamar together, and guest of honor Rabbi Naftali Roth told the children a story about the Rebbe’s love for every Jew.

At the end of the farbrengen, the children who had learned the most of the maamar were awarded special certificates. Everyone also wrote panim in the Rebbe’s room and davened there before the event finally drew to a close.
